Energica takes a step closer to eliminating range anxiety with an all-electric touring motorcycle designed to charge quickly and consume miles.

The Energica Experia combines the style and handling of an Italian racing bike with the comfort of a dedicated touring machine. The result is an all-electric ride capable of 261 miles around town between charges.

The bike combines a high capacity 22.5kWh battery with weight savings resulting from careful material use and design.

Quick charge for long journeys

We particularly like the charging time from 0-80% in 40 minutes with a Level 3/DC fast charger.

Energica designed the Experia from the ground up with an all-new frame, battery and motor, resulting in a bike that offers tourer comfort while significantly reducing weight. Energica also dialed in the aerodynamics and weather protection via carefully implemented fairings. They even added heated handlebar grips for added comfort on long rides.

Designed with distance in mind

“We focused on the real needs of motorcyclists around the world, creating a state-of-the-art ex novo engineering platform,” said Giampiero TestoniCTO of Energica Motor Company, in a press release.

“We fused high-tech electric mobility with the traveling spirit of the motorcycle traveller. The intention was to create the first electric motorcycle created specifically for long distance cycling enthusiasts.

This focus on distance also shows in the Experia’s storage options, which include two hard saddlebags and a top case. In total, the Experia offers 112 L of protected storage. Energica plans to add more features in the future.
