The landmark announcement comes as the brand wrapped up its second edition of Lamborghini Day, which was celebrated over three weekends and in three locations – Mumbai-Pune, Bangalore-Hampi and New Delhi-Jewar. The Lamborghini Urus was a big contributor to the brand’s sales in India. In 2019, the company sold a total of 65 units in the country and posted 30% growth compared to 2018.

Earlier this year, the brand announced that it has sold more than 100 Urus in India since the SUV launched in 2018. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that hit sales last year, the company has still managed to cross the 50-unit mark last year. Before the pandemic, the company was delivering an Urus weekly, which is huge for a car in this luxury segment. Additionally, the Italian luxury sports car maker recently confirmed that it is on track to achieve record sales in calendar year 2021.
